Martha Galvez provided the best travel service for me when I booked my trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica. I treated my niece to the trip for her 21st birthday. Martha took the time to hear my plans and ensured all my requests were fulfilled. She was in touch with the resort and upon our arrival there was a birthday banner on the door, a slice of birthday cake and a bottle of wine awaiting us. I didn't have to do anything but tell Martha what I wanted. I'm truly grateful for her service as my travel agent. Thank you again Sunset Travel & Cruise AND my agent Martha Galvez!

Ryan planned a wonderful trip for my husband and I to Italy. He chose hotels we never would have knew about and made the experience seem less and easy. The company uses a helpful app where all our travel data was easily accessible while we were on the road!
Highly Recommend Ryan and his company for all your travel needs.

Our travel agent Ryan Roman from Sunset Travel guided, coordinated and organized our dream wedding at Dreams Natura in Cancun Mexico on 10/26/24. My husband and I shopped around for an agent who could help us find exactly what we visioned as a destination wedding. He skillfully and patiently listened to our requests, followed through and delivered. Our wedding was amazing. From the location, to those who coordinated events and the staff who decorated and weighted on us hand and foot. It all turned out exactly how we wanted. Ryan took the time to understand what we wanted for our wedding. He communicated clearly, worked diligently with hotel staff, and responded in a timely manner with all my guests. I highly recommend Ryan for any future destination weddings or leisure traveling. We have kept in contact with him as we plan our future family vacation in April 2025.

Berlin, Germany

As Germany’s capital, Berlin is one of the most interesting cities in Europe, and certainly the one that has changed the most in the last 20 years. Once the symbol of the Cold War, it has become Europe’s capital of cool – a vibrant mix of fashion, design, music, and art. It’s experienced a renaissance as of late, with new hotels and restaurants opening amid the historic museums and landmarks. And of course, there’s the beer.

Berlin is a budget traveler’s paradise, and this cultural city has something for everyone, from buzzing nightlife to more than 170 world-class museums, galleries, and philharmonics. You can go shopping to Kurfürstendamm, the city’s most famous avenue; sample the Berlinese coffee culture in the Mitte (the historical center of Berlin); and really take in the nightlife in the fashionable Friedrichshain area.

Some of the more popular attractions include:

  • The Berlin Wall Memorial
  • Zoo Berlin
  • Topography of Terror
  • Brandenburg Gate
  • Museum Island
  • Reichstag
  • Tiergarten
  • Pergamonmuseum
  • East Side Gallery

Munich, Germany

Most people know Munich, the capital of Bavaria, for its world-famous Oktoberfest, a two-week-long festival featuring Germany’s best beers and bratwurst. But the appeal goes far beyond local beer culture (although that’s a big part of it.)

The city bumps against the Bavarian Alps and rests beside the River Isar, and is full of natural beauty and yet its streets are also lined with man-made marvels — designer retail shops and shiny BMWs. It’s a “cosmopolitan city with a big heart” where you can find magnificent architecture, castles, museums, fine dining, shopping, entertainment, and lovely parks, all filled with a contagious creative energy.

Some of the most popular attractions include:

  • English Garden
  • Church of Our Lady
  • Marienplatz
  • Deutsches Museum
  • Biergarten am Chinesischen Turm
  • BMW Welt
  • Nymphenburg Palace
  • Bayerische Staatsoper Opera House
  • Modern Picture Gallery
  • Residenz Royal Palace

The Romantic Road

Germany’s most scenic drive, the Romantic Road is based (very) loosely on the old Roman route between the participating towns. Add in some stunning medieval locations to the north, and the Romantic Road appears to be based on history and tradition, but it’s actually a much more modern invention.

In the post-war times, Germany was desperate to rebuild a tourism industry, which gave birth to the idea of the formal “route,” which was created in 1950.

Since then visitors have been coming in droves to discover the rich culture, picturesque scenery, and medieval character of this fantastic country. Be warned that the route is quite touristy and can get pretty busy during the summer months, but it’s one of the most authentic German experiences you can take in. It combines local hospitality with history, art, culture, and natural beauty — where else can you get that?
