You can’t mention France without mentioning Paris, that City of Light that is so iconic, you probably already feel like you’ve been there in some way, shape, or form. It’s the most visited tourist destination in the world, with over 45 million visitors annually, all ready to take in the city’s world famous landmarks, museums and cathedrals.
Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, Paris has so much to offer visitors — richly endowed museums full of awe-inspiring exhibits, French delicacies in its bakeries and world-acclaimed restaurants, and the chance to take long strolls through the varied, fascinating streets and neighborhoods of the French capital.
And while Paris has its charms in every season, most people will find the city at its best during the spring and summer months, roughly between April to October. Spring blossoms emerge in April and May, and outdoor activities such as walks through parks, day trips, and picnics are more enjoyable because of the weather.
No matter when you go to France, you’re guaranteed an amazing adventure!

The unofficial anthem of Nice is “Nissa La Bella,” something you can’t help but agree with when you visit the French Riviera’s largest city. It’s been a popular travel destination since the late 18th century, due in part to the mild Mediterranean climate, a rich culture, a lively Old Town district, and a picturesque shoreline bordered with magnificent resorts and hotels.
If you’re looking for culture, there are more museums in Nice than in any French city except for Paris. And while history dates back to the 4th century B.C., there’s a surprisingly modern feel to Nice too thanks to recent efforts to modernize the city’s infrastructure. There’s an updated transportation system and pedestrian-only plazas filled with shops and restaurants. Add in that perfect climate — a dash of Riviera glamour — and you have a trip you won’t soon forget.

Much like variety of fine wines produced there, Bourgogne has only gotten better with age. Since Roman times, the region has been an important crossroads between Southern and Northern Europe. It’s a place where important developments in religion, trade, and culture have taken root and burst into full form.
While there’s more to the region than just wine, it is a high point. There’s the city of Beaune, a town of maze-like medieval streets set in the heart of the region’s most celebrated vineyards. Visitors can tour the vast wine cellars containing millions of bottles that lie beneath the ancient town walls, or visit the Musée du Vin de Bourgogne (Museum of Burgundy Wine) full of exhibits that trace the history and development of wine making from ancient times to the present.
Or you can head to Dijon where — as you might have guessed — they’re famed for the mustard. But it’s also home to the Palais des Ducs et des Etats de Bourgogne (Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy), the Hôtel de Ville (City Hall) and the Musée des Beaux-Arts (Fine Arts Museum).

A part of France with a hint of Germany, this region’s forests and hills envelope beautiful cities and villages, superior vineyards, and cozy restaurants and hotels that make it an ideal destination. Geographically speaking, it runs west-to-east from the pine-clad Vosges mountains through some of the most beautiful vineyards in France, to the mighty Rhine river and the border with Germany.
Along with tasting the wine and touring the vineyards, travelers can head to the mountains, where those looking for adventure can take in biking, boating, trekking and fishing. The food is distinct from other French regions given the German fusion, and if wine isn’t your thing, foaming beer is just as popular.
Autumn is a high point in Alsace, but by early November the crowds have left — but the perfect fall weather remains. The town is full of Christmas markets in December, and April is the perfect time for that wine tasting before the busiest seasons — late spring and summer.

Located in the heart of the southwest of France, Toulouse is an essential stop-off in any France vacation. Home to more than 2,000 years of history, it has been updated with a modern touch that includes becoming the capital of the air and space industry.
Toulouse has the nickname, “la Ville Rose”. Why? Because so many of the city’s great buildings are made with a pinkish brick that it gives the cityscape a look that you won’t find in any other city in the world.
Toulouse is now Europe’s aeronautical capital, where airbus have their headquarters and as the home to the largest space center in Europe. There’s a multitude of cafés, restaurants, bars, boutiques, and old Toulouse is a historic area, riveting museums, and old streets that you’ll want to spend days just exploring.

The oldest city in France, founded 2,600 years ago, Marseille really opened up to tourism at the very end of the twentieth century. The city was founded around 600 BC, and soon developed into an important port in the ancient Greek world due to being located near the mouth of the Rhone. That is a role that has since made it the most important port in France – a role that explains its size as France’s third largest urban area, to this day.
While they have beautiful shorelines, they’re not a beach destination. The area around the Old Port is the tourism heart of Marseilles, and this destination is perfect for a day trip or weekend getaway. You can see it all in neighbourhoods like Le Panier, Noailles and La Paine and their shops, markets and cafes, or take in the rich history in the museums.
